Chapter Two: A New Friend

Hey kiddies, it's your old pal JRYC again here to bring you another some what exciting chapter of "Eddie the wonder dog."  Well, not really a new chapter, more like part two of the same.  He's still a little puppy in this one too.  As you may remember from our last adventure our hero found and saved his sister from a huge spider.  What will happen this time, stay tuned to find out.

"What is this, a documentary show now?!? *sigh* Atleast it's better than his singing," shouts that same annoying guy in the audience.

Tis another day for our little hero, the sun is shinning, the birds are chirpping, and all is right with the world...  For now at least.  "Yelp!!!"  What's this a cry for help?  Someone in danger perhaps?  Nope, it's our little friend being picked on by his bigger siblings.  You'ed think they'ed let up and be nicer to him after that heroic rescue afew months ago, but they don't.  Sibling will be siblings after all.  But wait, what's this, someone is coming to his aid.  It's his sister, the one he saved from the huge spider.  Seems she's taken a likening to him.  They head off together to get away from the rest of the bunch.  She takes him to the hole that leads to the spot where she was trapped by that spider.  She smiles at him and licks his cheek, thanking him for his deed yesterday before walking back to the others.  Our little friend sits blushing as his sister leaves, he turns around and chases after her.  However, before he can even catch up to his sister he hears a small noise coming from behind a near by bush.  Shaking his head trying to convince himself it's only the wind, he walks closer it without a second thought.  "Tis one of his brothers or sister," he thought, "trying to scare me again."  He slowly creeps closer, trying to walk past it without making a sound.  Just as he's about to past it, he gets the feeling that he's being watched.  He quickly turns and looks around, but noone's there.  A slight chill runs up his spine, fearing the worst of what might be lurking in the bush.  Suddenly he hears a faint sound, a sound he hadn't heard before.  "What's that noise," he thinks as he turns around to face the bush.  Suddenly something jumps out and pounces him, knocking him onto his back.  He opens his eyes slowly only to find a small ball of fluff sitting on his chest.  "What's this thing sitting on me," he thinks.  The small animal turns around and stares at him for a minute before pawing at his nose.  He wiggles about, trying to get this little trouble maker off of his chest.  The creature smiles and hops off.  Confused and somewhat annoyed, he gets to his feet and stares at it, trying to figure out what it could be.  The tiny animal just smiles at him and meows.  "Meow," he thinks, "what kind of dog meows?"  He walks closer to investigate and sees if he can find out what this new animal might be.  The little kitten meows and paws at his nose playfully, wanting to have alittle fun with him.  He sneezes and tumbles backward onto his back, all the the while the little kitten giggles at how silly he is.  He hops to his feet, trying to look cool even though he just fell on his bottom earlier and walks over to the troublemaking tabby.  He circles around, sniffing the air around it trying to figure out if it's friend or foe.  All of a sudden the feline gets up and lifts its tail as he circles around.  Startled by action, he jumps back expecting an attack.  To his surprise the frisky feline looks back and winks at him.  Tilting his head, unsure of what to make of the response he glances back and looks under her tail.  His eyes start to widden and his ears stand erect as he finds out that this he starring a female's bottom.  Turning bright red, he quickly turns around and trys to forget of what he just saw by shaking his head vigoriously.  The little tease giggles at the silliness of the shy pup and pads over to him meowing.  She sneaks up behind him and paws at his tail as it sways back and forth.  He turns back, glancing at her with his face still bright red and smiles slightly.  He gets up to his feet and begins to walk away, thinking that she'll be okay by herself.  Trying not the think too much about what he just wittness, he walks back home.  But unknow to him, he's being followed.  As he walks along the path back to his mother and siblings he hears footsteps behind him.  He turns around to look, but noone is there...  Atleast not out in the open where he can see.  Unknown to him, up in a near by tree sits the little cat waiting for him to avert his gaze so she can continue to fallow him.  Knowing he's being watched, he speeds up his pace to try to loose the who or what ever is behind him.  He quickly dashes into a near by shrub and waits for who or what ever it was that was following to show themself.  He hears a russling coming from above him and he glances up to see what that sound could be.  It's the female felilne that he met earlier.  "She's following me, but why?" he wonders.  She jumps down from the branch she was perched on and sniffs the air, trying to pick up his sent.  Unknown to her, he's creeping up behind her.  He moves closer and closer, trying not making a sound.  As he gets within afew inches of her, she quickly turns around and licks him on the nose.  He pauses and stops to think of what just happen, almost in a state of shock.  Seeing him motionless, she walks to his side and hops onto his back and begins pawing at his ears.  He starts to wag his tail, loving the tickling sensation of his ears being scratched.  He slumps to the ground and begins to wag his tail with joy and contempt.  Thinking things over, he decides that it's not so bad having a little friend around as he wanders about.  She continues to paw at his ears causing his leg to twitch at the tingling sensation.  He starts to roll over onto his back, causing the little cat to jump off.  His legs twitches as he rolls around on the ground.  His new friend just sat beside him, tilting her head and giggling slightly at how funny he looked.  But their fun was cut short by some noise coming from above them.  He quickly got to his feet and searched about the tree tops, his ears erect and his eyes focused abouve him to pick up any sound or sudden movement.  Suddenly from from behind them they heard a loud, bone chilling yeowl.  Our hero turned his attention toward the sky where he noticed another strange creature.  It was simialar to his new companion, but something looked different about it.  Like it possesed by evil.  The creature let out another spine tingling yeowl before it jumped down and stood before them.  This thing was huge,  and had glowing green eyes.  Not wanting any trouble, the little pup turned and began to walk away from this new terror thinking his new friend will do the same.  The creature jumped over him, landing in front of him baring its teeth and claws.  That very moment the small cat stood in front of him, trying to tell it not to harm her new friend.  The monster cat just snarled and swatted her aside, causing her to go flying into a tree.  Seeing his new friend being treated like she was nothing, he starts to feel an inner fire burning within him.  His back arches as his fur stands on end. He snarls at the evil beast and bares his fangs and claws, he then charges forward trying to get the first strike in.  But it's no use, the creature is too fast for him and quickly evades his attack.  "This thing is tough, how am I gonna defeat him and avenge her," he thinks.  He turns sharply and rushes at it again, but his attack fails and is countered by a huge paw to his head.  The evil cat laughs at him while he lies helplessly on the ground.  The monster then walks over to the tree where the poor petite kitty lies helplessly.  He looms over her and grins before picking her up in his mouth.  The big boy then walks over to the pup and grins evilly before taking his captive catgirl back to his lair.  Seeing his new friend being carried away against her will, he finds himself filled with rage as they disappear into the forrest.  Wanting to do something to save his newly found companion, he dashes after them...
